RIISE presents Wellness Hacks — a continuing exploration of the rituals and rhythms that shape a well-lived life. In this edition, we invite Robyn Lawley, model, activist and a friend of RIISE, to share the intentional practices that ground her in vitality and balance— from her natural skincare philosophy to the health habits she swears by.

Robyn Lawley is one of Australia's most recognised and purposeful voices in fashion. A trailblazer who made history as the first curve model to appear in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, Robyn has spent over a decade using her platform to champion inclusivity, body positivity and a more conscious way of moving through the world — values that sit at the very heart of what RIISE stands for.

Beyond the runway, Robyn is a mother, author, podcaster and PETA Australia Ambassador whose approach to wellness is as considered as her relationship with fashion. Drawn to brands and practices that prioritise both people and the planet, she has long advocated for a more intentional way of living — one where what we put on our skin, what we wear and what we consume all reflect a deeper commitment to care. After navigating a lupus diagnosis and embracing a plant-based lifestyle, her philosophy has become beautifully clear: true wellness begins from within, and the choices we make — from our morning rituals to the clothes we reach for — have the power to reflect and reinforce that.

RIISE: What is your first drink of the day?

Robyn: Water, I fill my big gallon bottle which is almost 4 liters. Water is always my essential… definitely coffee as well lol.

RIISE: What do you have for breakfast?

Robyn: I make my giant green smoothie for the day. Eating large amounts of green cruciferous vegetables or baby spinach, fruit and flaxseeds or chia (omega3) has managed to keep my lupus in remission.

RIISE: Do you have a health hack you would like to share?

Robyn: Definitely the smoothie advice from above, Dr Brooke Goldner taught me, she has managed to keep her lupus in remission for 20 years, mine has been in remission since 2019. It’s life changing when you’re told your autoimmune disease is incurable and there’s nothing you can do. Fortunately, there’s plenty you can do, and changing what you eat is one of them. I also eliminated all animal products, and high amounts of omega 6 seed oils as they are counterintuitive with omega 3 from flaxseeds and chia. Omega 3 fatty acids, need to be eaten every day, everyone gets plenty of omega 6, however never enough omega 3.

RIISE: How do you ensure you have peaceful moments throughout the day?

Robyn: I’m a green fairy, lol I need trees. I moved to the woods/forest and having plenty of trees and access to gardening helps me feel at peace.

RIISE: What is your skincare hack?

Robyn: Keep your skin hydrated with moisturiser, don’t be afraid of good quality oils.

RIISE: What supplements can't you live without?

Robyn: I take vitamin D in winter (I have to live indoors because of the snow in NY) and b12

RIISE: Do you have a favourite lunch to energise you?

Robyn:  My green smoothie. I actually eat raw vegan during the day to make sure I’m eating/drinking my smoothies. I eat a normal home cooked vegan dinner with my family. (I’ve been sharing my recipes under #robynlawleyeats for ideas)

RIISE: How do you maintain an attitude of gratitude?

Robyn: Yoga has been keeping me grounded and thankful; I’ll also do volunteer work at the nearby animal sanctuary or pick up trash.

RIISE: Do you have a mindfulness ritual?

Robyn: I love my daily yoga practice, I’ve been practicing Jivamukti - they practice Ashtanga style.

RIISE: What have you done recently to support your health and longevity?

Robyn: I did this for many people in my family haha. I bought the gallon bottles, to ensure the full gallon of water was being drunk.

RIISE: Do you have a sleep hack?

Robyn: I have a baby music playlist that I still listen to, it’s so peaceful and always put me and my daughter to sleep.
