While we never turn down a reason to get out, many of these will be celebrated at home, which got us thinking about updating our tableware. After all, dining with friends and family (or alone) is always better when you have something pretty to look at.
It’s not always easy to find what you want though. So to help out, we’re bringing you a selection of our favourite vintage homewares accounts where you can find just the thing to serve up at your next dinner party. It's a good excuse to find something unique, and keep a beautiful object out of landfill. Happy vintage hunting!

Based in Melbourne, Memento serves up vintage pieces that are perfect for the modern minimalist. If you’re a fan of Pernille Teisbaek’s dream Copenhagen home or Thuy Nguyen’s Swedish abode, then this is an account to keep a close eye on. We’re personally considering throwing a party just as an excuse to pick up these modernist sculptural napkin rings and this post-modern lacquer lidded bowl.

Looking to fulfil an English manor fantasy? Albie & Pearl can help with its huge collection of antique ceramics and glassware that are both relevant and timeless for the modern home. Whether it’s a 1930s Victorian transferware pitcher or stunning French brass champagne cooler, you’ll only need to throw in some jam and scones to complete the look.
Marie Pontefract sources her favourite pieces from the Malvern flea market, junk shops and local antiques markets across Surrey and Kent. So the hard work to find affordable and unique pieces, like these mid-century checked serving plates, has been done for you.

Depression glass is in (really it never left), so chances are your grandma is happy you’re pining over her 1920s brightly coloured moulded glassware.
Now, of course, if you don’t have a historically fashionable grandma, you’ll have to look slightly further afield. Based in New York City, Rosemary Home is one of our favourite places to score these delicate beauties. Some favourites from the mix include this set of Venetian octagonal glasses and this faceted decanter set in lemon yellow. We’re totally here for the multicoloured madness, and so is your home.

Always in pursuit of the perfect salad server, to-die-for vases and unique tableware, Dervla O’Shea founded Our Hse to share her love of interior styling. O’Shea knows her collection of mid-century modern, second-hand wares is a valuable commodity, which is why she only makes her items available in limited drops, releasing five to seven pieces at a time.
It’s worth the wait (and setting a notification for), especially when she features things like this solid aluminium cast candlestick or these pastel blue ceramic plates. Or, better yet, sign up to Our Hse’s presale mailing list.
