Morgan Lang is the founder and creative director of AGMES, a jewellery house with a distinct sculptural sensibility, crafting pieces destined to become future heirlooms. Drawing inspiration from art, architecture and her personal connections to material and form, Morgan has been creatively directing and designing for the brand since its conception. After a career in the fashion industry, she established AGMES in 2016, with a vision to redefine luxury through thoughtful design and responsible craftsmanship. Each piece is crafted in New York using recycled precious metals, reflecting Lang’s belief that true luxury lies in intention, integrity, and enduring design. We were excited for her to share how she cultivates moments of calm within a demanding schedule.

RIISE: What do you do upon waking?
Morgan: I try to wake up slowly and intentionally. I take a few deep breaths, stretch, and give myself a moment before reaching for my phone. Creating a calm start sets the tone for the rest of my day.
RIISE: What is your first drink of the day?
Morgan: I aim to drink 2 cups of water before starting my day, always room temperature.
RIISE: What do you have for breakfast?
Morgan: It typically rotates between scrambled eggs or avocado toast on multigrain bread, depending on which groceries I have at the moment.

RIISE: Do you have a health hack you would like to share?
Morgan: Whenever I’m feeling rundown, I make myself a hot lemonade - hot water, half a lemon, cayenne pepper, and maple syrup.
A few of these seem to cure just about anything.
RIISE: How do you ensure you have peaceful moments throughout the day?
Morgan: On the days I’m office bound, I try to take some of my one-on-one meetings with a walk outside. Business talk never stops, of course, but those moments of fresh air help keep me grounded and break up the day.
RIISE: What is your skincare hack?
Morgan: Hydration—inside and out. When I’m well hydrated, everything works better, including my skin. Also, my mom has an organic skincare line (Leaf + Stem Naturals) that I live by, everything from a honey rose face mask to cleansing grains depending on my skin needs at that moment.
RIISE: What supplements can’t you live without?
RIISE: Do you have a favourite lunch to energise you?
Morgan: I love picking up a spicy salmon onigiri from Sunrise Mart, down the street from me in NYC. It’s become one of those things that’s ubiquitous and so easily found in different cities when traveling. It’s simple, clean, and convenient for busy days.
RIISE: How do you maintain an attitude of gratitude?
Morgan: Noticing the small things—quiet moments, movement, good conversations. Gratitude becomes easier when you slow down enough to see what’s already there.
RIISE: Do you have a mindfulness ritual?
Morgan: Movement is a big one for me. Whether it’s a run or a stretch, working my body helps quiet my mind.
RIISE: What have you done recently to improve your health and longevity?
Morgan: Contrast therapy has been a key addition to my routine. In NYC apartment life, that takes the form of a 30 minute infrared sauna blanket session, followed by a cold shower.
RIISE: What herbal teas do you swear by?
Morgan: I picked up this beautiful tea when I was in Taiwan last year - it’s a mixture of red date, ginseng, and goji berry - and such a great immune booster!
RIISE: Do you have a sleep hack?
Morgan: Foam rolling and stretching before I get into bed. Whether I’ve gone for a run or been sitting behind a desk, it helps my body decompress, which helps my mind slow down too.
RIISE: What’s the last thing you do before you go to sleep?
Morgan: Kiss my puppy goodnight. It instantly makes my mind slow down, and puts everything into perspective about what really matters.
