She studied Italian at The University of Edinburgh and contributes to Tatler magazine in the UK. We recently visited Amelia at her home in London and sat down with her to find out what sustainable fashion and beauty brands are currently on her radar.
RIISE: Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
AM: I grew up in Cambridge and went to uni in Edinburgh where I studied French and Italian. I moved to London after and have been moving about there ever since!
RIISE: When did you first get into modelling?
AM: I got into modelling whilst I was at university, so I spent a lot of time on the train back and forth from Edinburgh.
RIISE: What is your favourite memory so far of being involved in the fashion industry?
AM: Meeting amazing people behind the brands as well as the make-up artists, photographers, hairdressers and everyone on set when you do a shoot; you become a little team for the day.
RIISE: What sparked your love of sustainable fashion?
AM: The stories that celebrate the makers and the material innovations that are appearing everyday. It’s very exciting.

RIISE: Who are some sustainable fashion brands on your radar?
AM: Offkut, Ganni, Nimiiny and OpéraSPORT.
RIISE: What is the best secondhand or vintage fashion find in your wardrobe?
AM: I recently found a Moschino vintage skirt that is bright yellow and covered in fruit. It was a little too small so I took it to my local tailor and added a panel of fabric.
RIISE: What sustainable beauty/skincare products would we find in your cosmetics bag?
AM: I love Evolve’s cleanser and face mask, as well as ILIA’s Liquid Light Serum Highlighter and The Base Face Milk. ARTAH do brilliant supplements, too; their nootropic supplements are great for mood and energy.
RIISE: What was the last book you couldn’t put down?
AM: The Lovers by Paolo Cognetti. It’s a beautiful story of love and life in the alps and what draws people to live there and leave there.
RIISE: What was the last song you listened to on Spotify?
AM: ‘Hold On’ by Tems.
RIISE: What trend are you currently coveting?
AM: Ice cold showers! Best way to wake up and feel alive!
