Hermione Olivia is busy. As the UK CEO of JSHealth Vitamins she oversees the development, production and distribution of the brand’s Australian-made, scientifically formulated range of vitamins, skincare, collagen and protein products. It also means she spends a lot of time in a suit – a topic she’s become something of an expert in.
I live in suits. They’re very much my style but are also the most timeless investment pieces. A good suit is versatile and takes the effort out of styling. Despite living in the UK for so long, I still love to wear and support Aussie brands and believe Australian designers do it best.
Arnsdorf is a brand I love for its modern, pared-back style and effortless look. Its Joan Jacket and Relaxed Trouser, worn together, really encapsulate that: they fit like a glove, are easy to style into a complete look, work with trainers for the day and can be elevated with a heel for a meeting or a night out. They’re perfect for someone like me who needs to run from a long day at work to dinner. I love them!
In general, I only buy pieces I know will stand the test of time in terms of quality and style, and that I know are able to be styled a myriad of ways. When I do shop at high street stores, I approach them with the same consideration I do luxury brands. I never see any item as disposable. It’s important to always buy with a long-term vision. That also means thinking about the end of an item’s life. So I try to donate, sell or gift preloved pieces in my wardrobe to keep the circle moving.
I hope we’re in a moment of change, moving towards a world in which every brand will be conscious, considerate and environmentally friendly. But until then I’m grateful for the designers that are leading the charge, like Arnsdorf.
